V3athlon
The V3 Group recently came together for a charity fitness challenge in support of two incredible causes: Velindre Cancer Centre and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital. Employees and supporters across the group took on the challenge to Row, Ride, or Run for 20 minutes each, with some going above and beyond by completing all three within the hour.
The event saw outstanding participation across the group, showcasing our shared commitment to giving back and making a difference. Thanks to the ease of JustGiving, even those who couldn’t take part physically were still able to support the cause through generous donations.
Pen y Fan
On 11th April, the V3 Group team took on the climb up Pen y Fan – the highest peak in South Wales – all in aid of our two incredible chosen charities for 2025: Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity and Velindre Cancer Centre.
The team braved the elements and conquered the 886m summit, raising an amazing £300 to boost our annual charity pot.
Caerphilly 10k
Ian Bruford, Contracts Manager of CASS, triumphantly completed a local marathon recently. What makes this achievement even more impressive is the fact that Ian has endured a hip and 2 ankle operations in recent years. Ian dedicated his efforts to fundraising for LLamau, helping to combat homelessness. As it stands, V3 have raised over £5,000 for Llamau- our chosen charity for 2024.
Muddy Assault
Three members of V3, Katrina, Jack and Clair, got down and dirty in the name of charity, tackling obstacles in muddy terrain, at the Usk Valley. The brave 3 emerged from the challenge exhausted and filthy, but extremely proud to have added to the ever-growing pot of donations raised for Llamau. Llamau are the leading homelessness charity in Wales, supporting the most vulnerable young people and women.
Veterans Awards
Tom Gent won the Bronze Award for Veteran Owned Business of the Year 2023. It is great that Tom has been recognised as a Veteran, something Tom is extremely proud of. The determination and grit he encompasses today is owed to all he learnt during his time serving the Royal Navy. These transferable skills have undoubtedly contributed to the success he’s achieved within the construction industry thereafter.
